ABSTRACT
We will present our approaches and aim to discuss with everyone interested at ISI how social contact matrices could be estimated beyond the usual 2D age-age dimensions to capture important further variation by socio-economic status, household size, multi-dimensional indicators of deprivation, or race and ethnicity. We present a fully model-based approach termed “high-res Bayesian Rate Consistency model” that leverages population-level symmetry and marginalisation constraints, and thereby enables estimation of higher resolution generalised contact matrices from typically available contact study sample sizes.
