Job Title:  Developer

About us and Influenzanet:
Influenzanet is a network of Web-based platform to collect epidemiological data directly from the general population. It is deployed in eleven European countries and it is managed by public health institutions collecting and analyzing epidemiological and health related data from the initiative participants.
The technological infrastructure has been recently completely refactored (https://influenzanet.github.io/) and it is now based on an ad hoc infrastructure, newly developed by an international team of researcher and developers.
The team at ISI Foundation, which coordinates the development and scientific activities of the Influenzanet network, is looking for a Developer to manage and maintain the deployment of the Influenzanet platform in Italy and several other countries.

What you will be doing:

  • You will help design and implement a new Data VIsualization interface to showcase learnings from the data collected from all the platforms
  • You will be coordinating and executing the launch of the Influenzanet 2.0 platform across new countries.
  • You will customize the user interface of the platform according to the needs of each of the countries.
  • You will provide advice and assistance in acquiring hardware on Google to run the platform on.
  • You will help design surveys and provide knowledge to each of the representatives from the different countries in setting up surveys, maintaining the platform and helping them resolve issues.
  • You will help design and implement improvements to the Influenzanet platform.

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Basic Understanding of Frontend frameworks
  • Experience with React and Typescript.
  • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Micro-services
  • MongoDB
  • Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine.
  • Communication between partners in English.
  • Willingness to learn on the job.
  • Familiarity with Git and Github.
