Magnetization dynamics in micro- and nano-structures is an interesting field of study for both the fundamental physics involved and the potential technological applications that its deep understanding would allow. Domain walls (DW) are particular magnetization textures that have a predominant role in the magnetization dynamics at the nano-scale. Understanding DW dynamics provides information about the particular magnetic system under study at a microscopic level that goes beyond the material characterization, while the precise control of DW dynamics allows for fabrication of devices with a low power consumption for a wide range of applications. I will present magnetization dynamics from this micromagnetics perspective introducing domain walls and the analytical techniques used to study their dynamics with an overview of more advanced problems and open questions.
