With the initial workshops and PhD forum, the 2016 edition of ICDM – International Conference on Data Mining has started today in Barcelona. Established as the world’s premier research conference in data mining, the event provides an international forum for presentation of original r esearch results, as well as exchange and dissemination of innovative, practical development experiences.
The program of ICDM 2016 is co-chaired by ISI Foundation Research Leader and coordinator of the Algorithmic Data Analytics Lab Francesco Bonchi. From Tuesday (December 13) to Thursday (December 15), the conference will include three keynote talks by Yoshua Bengio (University of Montreal), Elisa Bertino (Purdue University) and Rakesh Agrawal (Data Insights Laboratories), along with scientific sessions, workshops and tutorials on a wide range of data mining core and related areas, like Deep Learning, Pattern Mining, Urban & Mobility Data Analysis, Social Network Mining, Privacy-preserving Data Mining and Bio-Medical Data Analysis.
By promoting novel, high quality research findings, and innovative solutions to challenging data mining problems, and by gathering researchers and application developers from all the world, ICDM will show, analyse and discuss the state-of-the-art in data mining.
